Katie Bliven is a working toward her Master of Arts degree in Communications and Leadership at Gonzaga University.  She is a communications consultant at a Fortune 50 financial institution.  Katie has nurtured a love for intercultural interaction and all forms of communication since her teenage years.  She plans to leverage her Cagli experience to redefine her roadmap for personal and professional growth.

Dianne Conlee lives and works in Nashville, TN. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University's Organizational and Corporate Communication program. She currently works as the Publications and Internal Communication Manager for Saint Thomas Health. Her trip to Cagli was a dream come true. Living in Cagli she was embraced by amazingly friendly people and enjoyed the relaxed pace of real Italian living.

Tiffany Hoffman graduated from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo in 2000 with a degree in Political Science. Upon graduation she was commissioned into the United States Army as a Logistics Officer, where she spent 8 years.  After the Army she worked as an Army contractor in Kuwait for the Stryker Brigade Combat Team.  She is now working on her Masters degree in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University.

Kierra has lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for 25 years. She is the oldest child of Dwayne Irvin, Sr. and Lisa Brown. She has three brothers and one sister. Kierra is currently studying Communication and Leadership at the Master’s level at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She has studied Public Relations. Sherry Janda is a graduate student at Gonzaga University majoring in Communication and Leadership Studies.  Sherry’s background includes radio station  operations, sales, and on-air personality; Yellow Pages advertising sales; and single mother to a 21-year old daughter.  She found Cagli to be warm and friendly and saturated with history.

24-year-old Jenny Krzan was born and raised in Tri-Cities, Washington. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham in Communication Studies, where she also cheered for four years. Jenny is now living in her hometown and working as an intern at the HAMMER Hanford training facility.

Matt Machia originally Issaquah, WA and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor's in Communication. He is a sports enthusiast, racquetball, tennis, and volleyball. Matt found Cagli to be a relaxed pace -- a change from American culture. A citizen of France and the United States, Matt traveled throughout Europe visiting family. He hopes to pursue a career in marketing.

Frank McCloy graduated from Temple University’s school of communication and theater with a degree in broadcast telecommunications and mass media. Currently residing in a nearby suburb of Philadelphia, PA he moonlights as a third shift D.J. on 90.1 WRTI in the city. He plans to pursue a full time career in radio, and media consulting after completing his masters in communication and leadership, as well as an international media certificate. Activities and interests outside of boring adult responsibilities include drumming, travelling, avoiding the barber, playing chicken with Jim Beam, and podcasting his new show Preying on the Weak which can be found on Facebook.

Originally from the Washington, DC area, Dan Paholski currently works in financial services for Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company in Salisbury, NC. He received his BA in Criminology/Political Science from Albright College and is now finishing his MA in Communications & Leadership from Gonzaga University. In his free time he enjoys volunteering, kayaking, and traveling. The Cagli opportunity has especially been an illuminating experience into living abroad and studying cultural differences.

She recently completed a volunteer program with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. She will be returning to Europe to continue her work with the refugees. He is an award winning audiobook narrator in addition to appearances in films like Remember The Titans and Leatherheads. He holds a B.A. from American University and is the proud father of his twelve year old, Willem. His work with the Gonzaga Communication and Leadership program has broadened his perspective on global citizenry.
